  What Were You or Someone You Knew Counseled For That Was Ridiculous?

  back in the day, tons of witnesses were brought in the “back room “ to be counseled by elders because of their dress and grooming.

  some elders frowned on mustaches or hair that went past a certain point on a male.

  women were regularly harassed because their skirt was too long or too short or had a slit on the side.

  What Is Truth?

  just because you believe something as truth, it doesn’t make it truth.

  religious leaders may be admired and believed but they could be dead wrong.

  politicians can spout out “facts” that support their truth yet once further evidence comes through these facts are questionable.

  The racial term 'black' has become sooo diluted

  i always understood the term 'black' (or 'black', if you write for the guardian) to refer to sub-saharan africans or people of sub-saharan african origin.. but, perhaps in a rush to embrace victimhood, more and more people are today are using the term black to refer to other people.. so, apparently barack obama is black - 'the first black president of the united states'.. and lewis hamilton is supposedly the only black driver in formula one.. and jordan peele is a black film director, apparently.. and then there's meghan markle.. there may also be people of pakistani heritage who refer to themselves as black.. and, sorry to say, it's all a load of bullsh*t.. barack obama, lewis hamilton, jordan peel, halle berry and meghan markle are all biracial (mixed-race).

  they're not black.

  disregarding the other half of their ethnic heritage is intellectually dishonest.. .

  Medicine recognizes certain treatments being different for blacks. I question some of that. Is it equally true for mulattos, quadroons, octaroons?

  Dont forget that language (hispanic) is a race now.

  The genetic tests show odd percentages of origin. Are there now septaroons and triaroons?

  so you all probably heard that the awake magazine is back, .

  and one of my jw relatives said they were told by some elders that meetings and field service will resume before the end of the year.. they said this covid virus was a test, like when the romans breached jerusalem and retreated, only to come back later and sack jerusalem.

  The letter was read at another congregation too. Where family goes.

  It is one of those we cannot say what to do BUT letters

  My worst fears, being pressured to go ruin my Saturday and other's too

  From reports on how isolated Bethel was they will come down with some other malady

  Liberal vs. Conservative mental health study - what do you make of it?

  a pew study from 2020 (but one i just now came upon myself) reported that the more liberal you are, the more likely you are to have a mental health condition.

  the worst suffering group are white females, ages 18-29 where over 56% have admitted to be described by their own doctors as having a mental health condition.

  conservative females of the same age group suffer at less than half that number (27%).. while women tend to have more mental health problems than men (don't be mad at me for saying it, this is what the study reports) it is notable that liberal men have a higher percentage of mental health conditions than conservative women in the same age group.

  There is not a clear line berween lib and conservative. It can be drawn as a square, or better as a cube. Depending on the survey bias I am a moderate, slightly right. If feelings are given weight I end up slightly left. Reality included pushes me a bit more right.

  As I have said, voting is figuring who to vote against, not for.

  Added the other things we watch on YouTube not airshow stuff. I live near an airbase so see interesting planes at times. Old planes will do flyovers when traveling to air shows.

  People like machinery. Airplanes, trains, cars, Eiffel towers. The planes have hotdogs at the stick u unlike a passenger plane. Add cannons and machine guns and tanks

  Few trump supporters gushed over his accomplishments. It was a lesser of evils. He was an outsider.

  Biden is a figurehead like most presidents. If the 100 day BS holds you better grab your ass if you still have one.
